Ingredients
- 3 pounds boneless pork shoulder
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
- Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the pork shoulder and cook for about 10 minutes, turning to brown all sides.
- Add the chicken broth, tomato sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and honey to the pot. Bring to a simmer, then cover and transfer to the preheated oven.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the pork is very tender.
- Remove the pork from the pot and shred with two forks. Return the shredded pork to the pot and stir to combine with the sauce.
- Serve the pulled pork in tacos, sandwiches, or over rice.
