Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Directions
- In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth.
- Add breadcrumbs, cilantro, red onion, jalapeno, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the mashed beans. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, using about 1/4 cup of mixture for each patty.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
