Ingredients

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup of cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, pecans, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, butter, sugar and salt.
  3. Using a pastry blender, cut the butter into the flour mixture until the mixture is crumbly.
  4. Press the mixture into a 9-inch (23 cm) pie plate.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Cool before using.
