- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup Italian-style bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup dry red wine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, paprika, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until they are browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.
- In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce and red wine. Pour the sauce over the patties and reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve the patties over cooked pasta or a salad of your choice.
