1 can (14 ounces) of chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1 small onion, grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, onion, garlic, cilantro, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper. Pulse until well combined and the ingredients form a paste.
Add the flour and pulse again until just combined. Do not over process.
Form the mixture into small patties, about 1 inch in diameter.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the patties to the skillet and cook for about 4 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
Serve warm with your favorite side dishes.
