- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, sliced jalapenos
Directions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground turkey over medium heat until cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet with the cooked turkey. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
- Transfer the cooked turkey and vegetable mixture to a slow cooker.
- Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, kidney beans, black beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 hours, or on high for 2 hours.
