- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 (14.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onions and minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the onions are softened.
- Transfer the cooked ground beef mixture to a slow cooker.
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the slow cooker.
