Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring often, until it is browned. Drain off any fat.
Transfer the cooked beef to the slow cooker. Add the onion, garlic, carrots, celery, bell pepper, potatoes, tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, thyme, basil, salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the vegetables are tender.
