Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • Directions

      1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
      2. In a medium bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, honey, and brown sugar. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
      3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
      4. When done, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred with two forks.
      5. Return the chicken to the slow cooker and stir to combine with the sauce.
      6. Serve over buns or on its own with sides!

      Interesting Facts

      • This recipe is great for meal prepping. Simply store cooked chicken in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat when ready to eat.
      • For a spicier dish, add 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the sauce mixture.
