Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups shredded potatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • Directions

      1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9 inch pie plate.
      2. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, shredded potatoes, onion, bacon, and cheese. Mix together until well blended.
      3. Press the mixture into the prepared pie plate and set aside.
      4. In a separate bowl, beat together the eggs, half-and-half cream, salt, and pepper. Pour over the potato mixture.
      5. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
