Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups white sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the eggs, buttermilk, oil and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in the sour cream and chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the top of the cake springs back when lightly touched.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
