Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 ounces) white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup diced ham
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapenos
  • 1/4 cup diced red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onions and bell peppers, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper, and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add the black beans, white beans, ham, jalapenos, and red pepper. Stir to combine and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy!
