Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)
  • 1–2 tablespoons sweetener of your choice (optional)

Directions

  1. In a medium-sized pot, bring the water and rice to a boil.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10–15 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
  3. Allow the rice to cool completely.
  4. Add the cooked rice and the remaining ingredients to a blender.
  5. Blend on high for 1–2 minutes, or until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  6. Strain the milk through a nut milk bag or fine-mesh sieve.
  7. Enjoy the milk chilled or warm, plain or sweetened as desired.
