Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup red velvet cake mix
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups powdered sugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, beat the melted butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in 2 teaspoons vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
- Spread half of the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle with the red velvet cake mix and white chocolate chips. Top with remaining batter.
- Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean. Let cool before frosting.
- For the frosting, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Beat in 1 teaspoon vanilla and powdered sugar. Spread over cooled brownies.
