Quick and Easy Ground Turkey Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground turkey, garlic, and onion until turkey is no longer pink and onion is tender. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in oregano, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, peas and carrots, and mushroom soup. Cook and stir until heated through.
  4. Spread turkey mixture in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  5. Spread mashed potatoes over turkey mixture.
  6. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
