Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 heads broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1/2 pound Brussels sprouts, halved
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the broccoli and Brussels sprouts and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the oregano and thyme and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve hot.
