Ingredients

  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Combine the yeast, warm water, and 2 tablespoons sugar in a small bowl. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, warm milk, and eggs until combined.
  3. Stir in the yeast mixture and mix until combined.
  4. Add the flour, salt, and sugar and mix until a soft dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  7. Punch down the dough and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface.
  8. Roll the dough into a large rectangle, about 15x20 inches.
  9. Mix together the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over the dough.
  10. Sprinkle the mini chocolate chips over the dough.
  11. Roll up the dough and cut into 1-inch thick slices.
  12. Place the slices in a greased 9x13-inch pan.
  13. Cover the pan and let rise for 30 minutes.
  14. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  15. Bake the bread for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  16. Let cool before serving.
