Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/4 cup finely chopped scallions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger root
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 package of wonton wrappers (about 50 wrappers)
- 1/4 cup water
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, scallions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Lay out a few wonton wrappers on a clean, dry surface. Place a teaspoon of the pork mixture in the center of each wrapper. Wet your finger with the water and moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper.
- Fold the wonton wrapper in half to create a triangle shape. Press down the edges to seal the filling in the wrapper. Place on a plate or baking sheet and repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the dumplings. Boil for 4-5 minutes or until the dumplings are cooked through.
