Philly Steak and Cheese Sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef steak
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 ounces white cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 slider buns, split in half

Directions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the olive oil and heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the steak slices to the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the steak for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it’s browned and cooked through.
  5. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  6. Add the peppers and onions to the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Cook the vegetables for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender.
  8. Add the steak back to the skillet and stir to combine.
  9. Sprinkle the cheese over the top of the steak and vegetables and cover the skillet with a lid.
  10. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
  11. Spoon the steak and cheese mixture onto the slider buns and serve.
