Ingredients

  • 3 cups cubed white bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cups peeled and diced peaches
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Spread the bread cubes in the prepared dish. Drizzle with the melted butter and stir to combine.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the peaches, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Pour the mixture over the bread cubes and stir until combined.
  4. In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, cream, brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Bring to a low boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.
