Ingredients

  • 2 cups of corn grits
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Add the salt and corn grits. Reduce the heat to low and stir.
  3. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the butter and cheese.
  5. Serve warm.
