Ingredients

  • 6 cups of popped popcorn
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger, minced
  • 4 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon of chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped peanuts (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped scallions (optional)

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic and ginger and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the brown sugar, fish sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, and chili flakes. Stir until combined.
  4. Add the popped popcorn to the skillet and stir until evenly coated with the sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and top with chopped peanuts and scallions, if desired.
