Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/4 pound ground veal
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, pork, veal, bread crumbs, onion, bell pepper, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Shape into a loaf, and place in the prepared pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour. Remove from oven and spread tomato sauce over loaf. Return to oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
