Ingredients

  • 4 cups of sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup of white onion, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1/4 cup of lager beer
  • 1/4 cup of beef stock or broth
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the mushrooms, garlic, and onion and cook until the mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the thyme, honey, beer, beef stock, and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  6. Serve over your favorite dish.
