Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and salt. Gradually mix in the flour and chopped walnuts.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
