Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces white button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Add the mushrooms and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the tomatoes and cook until heated through, about 2 minutes.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the top.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
