Add the carrots, potato, and cabbage and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the vegetable broth, thyme, oregano, basil, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
Remove the bay leaf and serve the soup warm.
