Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 15 minutes.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and cook for 3 minutes, turning them occasionally. Reduce the heat to low and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Split the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise. Spread each half with marinara sauce. Top each half with the cooked meatballs, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve the sandwiches hot.
