Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1/2 cup chopped bacon
- 1 large onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 (14.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
- 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, Italian sausage, and bacon until beef is evenly browned and bacon is crisp. Drain and discard any excess fat.
- In a slow cooker, mix together the cooked beef and bacon, onion, garlic, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, sugar, parsley, basil, oregano, black pepper, garlic powder, thyme, and salt.
- Cover, and cook on Low setting for 6 hours.
- Serve over hot cooked spaghetti.
