Ingredients

  • 1 (4-5 pound) bone-in ham
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place ham in a roasting pan and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, and ground cloves.
  4. Brush ham with maple syrup mixture and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bake for an additional 30 minutes, basting every 10 minutes with maple syrup mixture.
  6. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
