  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add the warm water and olive oil to the bowl and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-8 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Allow to rise for 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough and form into a loaf. Place in a lightly greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  6. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 1 hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake the bread for 30 minutes or until golden brown and the center is cooked through.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing.
