- 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- On a parchment-lined baking sheet, divide the cheese mixture into 8 equal parts, spreading each part into a thin circle about 5 inches in diameter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese has melted and crisped up.
- Remove from the oven and let the cheese taco shells cool for a few minutes.
- Carefully lift each cheese taco shell off the parchment paper and hang them over a wooden spoon or similar utensil, allowing them to cool and harden into a taco shell shape.
- Once the cheese taco shells have hardened, fill them with your desired taco fillings such as seasoned ground beef or chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, avocado, and sour cream.
