Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb frozen French fries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup Halal cart sauce (or your favorite sauce)
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapenos
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Place frozen French fries on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  3. In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, cumin, paprika, turmeric, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle seasoning mixture over the fries and toss to coat.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until fries are crispy and golden brown.
  5. Meanwhile, heat Halal cart sauce in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Add tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, and cilantro and cook for 5 minutes, until vegetables are tender.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in feta cheese.
  8. To serve, layer fries on a plate and top with Halal cart sauce mixture.
