Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 tomato slices
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a food processor, add the salmon fillets, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, bread crumbs, fresh dill, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until well combined, but still slightly chunky.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
  4. Place the salmon patties on a greased grill grates and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and the patties are golden brown.
  5. While the salmon is cooking, prepare the dill sauce. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  7. Spread a dollop of the dill sauce onto the bottom half of each bun. Place a salmon patty on top, followed by a lettuce leaf and a tomato slice. Top with the other half of the bun.
