Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1 cup bulgur wheat
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Soak the bulgur wheat in hot water for 30 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, soaked bulgur wheat, chopped onion, cinnamon, allspice, olive oil, salt and pepper.
  3. Mix all the ingredients together until they are fully combined.
  4. Form the mixture into balls and flatten them into patties.
  5. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the kibbee patties. Cook until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side.
  6. Serve with a side of hummus and pita bread.
