Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 ounces semisweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup Kentucky bourbon
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- Melt the butter and 2 ounces of semisweet chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the sugar until it is completely blended.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix until blended.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture and mix well.
- Stir in the bourbon, pecans, and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan on a wire rack.
