Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
2 large ripe bananas, mashed
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
Oil, for deep-frying
Directions
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix together the mashed bananas, egg and milk until combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large pot over medium heat.
Carefully drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden-brown and crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
Remove the fritters from the oil and place on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
Serve warm and enjoy!
