Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 2 large ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- Oil, for deep-frying
Directions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the mashed bananas, egg and milk until combined.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large pot over medium heat.
- Carefully drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden-brown and crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the fritters from the oil and place on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
