Ingredients
- 4 slices of sourdough bread
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 slices of jalapeno pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
Directions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, onto the skillet.
- Top each slice of bread with one slice of cheese, one slice of jalapeno pepper, and another slice of cheese.
- Top each sandwich with the remaining two slices of bread, butter-side up.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs and olive oil. Mix until combined.
- Carefully dip each sandwich into the panko breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure an even coating.
- Place the sandwiches back onto the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
