Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8-ounce) bottle clam juice
  • 1 pound cod fillet, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound mussels, scrubbed and debearded
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add bell pepper, paprika, oregano, and red pepper flakes and cook for another 5 minutes.
  3. Add diced tomatoes and clam juice and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Add cod, shrimp, and mussels. Simmer until the mussels have opened and the fish is cooked through, about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with crusty bread.
