Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions

  1. Place the chicken thighs in the Instant Pot.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic, black pepper, sugar, and bay leaf. Pour the mixture into the Instant Pot over the chicken.
  3. Add the water to the Instant Pot.
  4. Secure the lid and set the valve to “Sealing” position.
  5. Press the “Manual” or “Pressure Cook” button and set the timer to 25 minutes.
  6. When the timer is done, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes and then do a quick release.
  7. Open the lid and transfer the chicken to a serving dish.
  8. Serve the chicken with the sauce from the Instant Pot and enjoy!
