Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh raspberries
  • 3 cups peeled and chopped peaches
  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 packet (3 oz) liquid fruit pectin

Directions

  1. In a large pot, combine the raspberries, peaches, sugar, and lemon juice.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture comes to a rolling boil.
  3. Add the fruit pectin and continue to boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and let the jam cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Skim off any foam from the surface of the jam.
  6. Pour the jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch of space at the top.
  7. Wipe the rims of the jars clean and seal with lids.
  8. Process the jars in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes to ensure proper sealing.
  9. Remove the jars from the water bath and let them cool on a towel.
  10. Once cooled, check the lids for a proper seal. The lids should not flex when pressed.
  11. Store the jam in a cool, dark place for up to 1 year.
