Homemade Lasagna Sheets

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons water

Directions

  1. Mix together the flour and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add in the eggs and water.
  3. Mix together until a dough forms.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough until the dough is smooth and elastic, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each piece into a thin sheet.
  6. Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut the sheets into desired lasagna sheet sizes.
  7. Place the sheets on a lightly floured baking sheet and cover with a damp towel to prevent them from drying out.
  8. Cook the lasagna sheets in boiling salted water for 3-4 minutes.
  9. Drain the sheets and let cool before using in your favorite lasagna recipe.

  • Lasagna sheets can also be made in a food processor.
  • Homemade lasagna sheets are much more flavorful than store-bought.
