Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Thousand Island dressing
  • 1 tablespoon finely minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 small hamburger buns
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 16 dill pickle slices
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Thinly sliced onions
  • Sesame seeds

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Thousand Island dressing, minced onion, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to make the special sauce.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 16 equal portions and shape them into thin patties.
  3. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Place a slice of American cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt slightly.
  4. To assemble the burgers, spread a generous amount of the special sauce on the bottom half of each hamburger bun. Top with shredded lettuce, thinly sliced onions, and a layer of pickles. Place two cheese-topped patties on each bun, then cover with the top half of the bun.
  5. Optional: Brush the top of each bun with water and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Serve the homemade Big Mac clones immediately and enjoy!
