Ingredients
- 1 pound beef stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 3 celery stalks, sliced

- 1 cup barley
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 cups water
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Turn on the Instant Pot and select the 'Saute' mode.
- Heat the olive oil in the Instant Pot and add the beef stew meat. Cook until browned on all sides.
