Ingredients
- 1 cup grated heartbeet
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix together grated heartbeet, onion, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, mix together bread crumbs, oats, and flaxseed.
- Add the bread crumb mixture to the heartbeet mixture and mix until combined.
- Form the mixture into patties and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Brush olive oil over the top of each patty.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings.
