Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small cubes
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the dry ingredients, until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the milk and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
