Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add eggs, oil, vanilla and buttermilk. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed. Stir in the hot coffee. The batter will be thin.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Cool cake in pan on wire rack.
