2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the hush puppy batter into the hot oil. Fry until the hush puppies are golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
Remove the hush puppies from the oil and place on a paper-towel-lined plate to drain.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
