Ingredients

  • 1 ham, 2-3 lbs
  • 1 cup of brewed coffee
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Directions

      1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place the ham in a roasting pan and bake for about 20 minutes per pound, or until a thermometer inserted into the center of the ham reads 145°F.
      2. Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
      3. Meanwhile, pour the brewed coffee into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and 1/4 cup of cold water until smooth.
      4. Reduce the heat under the saucepan to low and whisk in the cornstarch mixture. Simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the gravy thickens.
      5. Stir in the butter, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. Remove from the heat and serve with the sliced ham.
