Cut the core out of each cabbage head. Carefully place the cabbages in the boiling water and cook for 10 minutes, or until the leaves are pliable.
Carefully remove the leaves from the water and place them on a plate to cool.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, oregano, thyme, basil, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper.
Mix the ingredients together with your hands until evenly combined.
Lay out a cabbage leaf and spoon about 2 tablespoons of the mixture into the center of the leaf. Fold the sides of the cabbage leaf over the mixture, then roll the leaf up, tucking in the sides as you go.
Repeat this process until all of the mixture is used up. Place the cabbage rolls in a single layer in a baking dish.
Drizzle the olive oil over the cabbage rolls and bake for 30 minutes.
